RedX is a multi-chain blockchain wallet that brings coins, tokens and NFTs together in one secure, self-custodial app. We designed and built the product across web, mobile (iOS & Android) and a Chrome extension, with deep integration into Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, TON and Bitcoin. Balances, tokens and NFTs in the screens are illustrative sample content, not live figures.
The core question we faced: how do you make five very different blockchains feel like one simple wallet — on a phone, in a browser and as an extension? Two things had to be true at once — every network's protocols and security standards had to be respected under the hood, and the experience on top had to stay fast, consistent and easy enough for anyone stepping into Web3.
One idea shaped our work: abstract the blockchain, never the control. We built a modular, unified architecture where standardised services connect every network behind one consistent interface — React Native on mobile, ReactJS and NextJS on web and the extension, NodeJS and MongoDB behind them, IPFS for NFT assets, all running on AWS. Caching and job queues keep real-time transactions fast and reliable; optimised IPFS gateways make NFTs load quickly; and full encryption with a self-custodial architecture keeps private keys in the user's hands. Instant notifications, low-fee cross-chain swaps and direct dApp access bring the wider Web3 ecosystem one tap away.
01. EMPATHY AND DEFINE
Web3 users move constantly between chains, devices and dApps — often juggling several wallets to do it. We set out to understand where that fragmentation created friction and risk, and what a single wallet would need to earn trust from newcomers and experienced holders alike.
Research goals
Map how users store, send, receive and swap assets across networks — and where switching wallets slows them down. Define a security model that keeps private keys fully self-custodial without adding complexity. Clarify NFT utility flows: NFC/QR verification, event ticketing and token distributions for holders. Ensure consistent performance and features across mobile, web and the Chrome extension.
What discovery drew on
We drew on three inputs: the client brief and product requirements; the protocols and security standards of each supported network — Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, TON and Bitcoin; and established patterns for wallet onboarding, transaction flows, NFT galleries and dApp connections across mobile, web and browser-extension environments.

02. IDEATION & CONCEPT SELECTION
We centred the product on one clear direction and refined it. The concept: one wallet that feels the same on every chain and every screen. From the asset hub to swaps, NFTs and dApp access, every choice pulled toward the same feeling — secure, fast, and never confusing.
Site map
Shared across web, mobile & extension: Home (Portfolio Balance · Assets · Activity) › Assets (Coins · Tokens · Networks) › Transfer (Send · Receive · QR) › Swap (Cross-chain Swap · Fees · Route) › NFTs (Gallery · NFT Detail · NFC/QR Verify · Event Tickets · Holder Rewards) › Web3 (dApp Browser · Connections) › Notifications › Settings (Security · Backup · Networks)
Key task flows
Send & receive: Assets → select coin or token → Send → enter address or scan QR → confirm → instant notification on arrival Cross-chain swap: Swap → choose source and target chain → review fees and route → confirm → balances update in real time NFT ticket: NFTs → select event ticket → verify via NFC or QR → check in Web3 access: dApp browser → connect wallet → approve transaction → track in Activity
03. THE REDESIGN

The project kept bringing us back to one question: how do you make five blockchains feel like one simple wallet, on every screen? Abstraction answered it — we unified network connections behind standardised services, kept the interface consistent, and gave NFTs real-world utility instead of leaving them as static collectibles. The hardest craft was balancing speed with security: real-time transactions and cross-chain swaps on top of a fully encrypted, self-custodial core, with feature parity across mobile, web and the Chrome extension.
